In August 2016, Morten Priisholm won the talent competition Brand New at the Copenhagen Watch and Jewellery Show in Denmark, for an impressive, large steampunk inspired signet ring. The motivation for choosing Morten Priisholm as the winner was based on criteria of innovation, commercial potential and X factor. His combination of traditional craftsmanship with new techniques and materials in a daring masculine language of men’s jewelry was highlighted by the competition’s jury.
